UA Flight Diverts After Passenger Tries to Storm Cockpit

Started by Gregory2002 1 days ago 1 replies 41 views
So there was this United flight, UA2005, going from Chicago to Minneapolis, and it had to divert to Wisconsin because some passenger tried to get into the cockpit multiple times. Can you believe that? The flight took off from O'Hare and was supposed to head to MSP, but things got a bit out of hand with this unruly passenger.

Honestly, I don't get how someone thinks it's a good idea to try and breach the cockpit mid-flight. With all the security measures in place nowadays, you'd think people would know better. It's kind of scary to think about what could've happened if they hadn't been able to handle the situation.

I'm curious about a couple of things-how does the crew even manage these kinds of situations? Like, what's the protocol for dealing with someone trying to pull something like this? Also, what happens to the other passengers when a flight gets diverted like this? Must be pretty disruptive, right? Anyone here ever been on a flight that had to divert for something similar?
