Anyone into collecting airline-branded blankets?

Started by LIMLanding45 1 days ago 2 replies 25 views
So, I recently stumbled upon a couple of airline-branded blankets in my grandma's attic. She worked as a flight attendant back in the 70s and 80s, and apparently kept a few from different airlines. I found ones from Pan Am and Eastern Airlines, and honestly, they're in pretty good condition. I'm curious if anyone here collects these or knows if they're worth holding onto.

I've got no idea if there's a market for these or if they're just a cozy bit of nostalgia. They don't seem super common, but then again, I haven't really looked before. Do you guys think they might be valuable, or should I just keep them for the sentimental value? Also, any ideas on how to store them properly so they don't get damaged over time? Would love to hear your thoughts!
Those airline blankets sound like a cool find! Pan Am and Eastern Airlines stuff can have some collector interest due to the nostalgia factor. Vintage airline memorabilia does have a niche market, but prices vary a lot. Might be worth checking eBay to see what similar items are going for. For storage, I'd suggest keeping them in a breathable fabric bag and avoiding plastic, which can trap moisture. Keep them in a dry place to prevent mold or mildew.
