Anyone Shot at Singapore Changi (SIN) During Sunset?

Hey everyone! Just curious if anyone here has done plane spotting at Singapore Changi during sunset hours. I'm planning a trip there soon and really want to capture those golden hour vibes. Heard the light can be pretty magical.

I'm thinking of using my Nikon D850 with a 70-300mm lens. Do you think that's a good combo for this airport? Also, any specific spots around the airport where the lighting is just perfect?

I've read that the viewing mall in Terminal 1 is decent, but not sure if it's the best for sunset shots. And is there any issue with glass reflections there? Would love any tips or personal experiences you guys have-especially around what settings work best for that time of day. Thanks!
I've shot at Changi around sunset, and the light is stunning. Your D850 and 70-300mm should work well. The viewing mall in Terminal 1 is decent, but the glass can be a pain with reflections. Try using a rubber lens hood to get rid of those. Another spot to consider is the Changi Beach Park; it's got a great view of the approach path. As for settings, I usually start with a lower ISO and adjust as needed since the light changes fast at sunset. Have fun!
I've shot there during sunset, and the light can be pretty awesome, though it depends on the weather. Your D850 and 70-300mm should be great for getting those long-range shots. The Terminal 1 viewing mall is okay, but yeah, glass reflections are a thing-bring a lens hood or a rubber lens skirt to help with that. If you can, try heading to the Changi Beach Park area. You might get some cool angles with the planes coming in for landing. Settings-wise, I'd start with a lower ISO and a fast shutter speed to freeze the action. Happy shooting!
I've shot there a couple of times. The golden hour light is epic, but the weather can change fast, so keep an eye on the forecast. Your D850 and 70-300mm are solid choices. For spots, try the car park rooftop near Terminal 2. It's open-air, so no glass issues, but you'll have to deal with heat haze sometimes. For settings, I usually start around f/8 to f/11 with ISO 100, but adjust as needed. Good luck!
I've tried shooting there during sunset, and the light is pretty sweet, but yeah, the reflections from the glass at Terminal 1 can be a hassle. A polarizing filter might help with that. As for spots, try the car park rooftop if you can-it gives you a clear view and less obstruction. Your D850 and 70-300mm should do the trick. Just watch out for those afternoon rain showers; they can sneak up on you.
I've shot there a few times, and your D850 with the 70-300mm is a solid choice. The light during sunset can be magical, but yeah, the viewing mall's glass can mess with your shots. Definitely take a polarizing filter if you can. Also, try the open-air car park near Terminal 2. Less hassle with reflections and a pretty good angle for the runway. Just be ready for sudden weather changes-Singapore can be unpredictable!
