Jet Aviation's First ACJ220 Hits the Asia-Pacific Skies

Hey folks, just read something cool about Jet Aviation San Marino adding their first ACJ220-100. It's the first of its kind to be based in the Asia-Pacific, which is kind of a big deal. The aircraft, T7-828, was built in 2024 and registered in San Marino in late 2025. It's now chilling at Singapore Seletar, managed by the Jet Aviation team.

I think it's pretty neat that they've got a VIP-configured airliner in the region. Makes you wonder what kind of luxury features are inside. Also, having the maintenance handled by Jet Aviation's Singapore MRO seems like a smart move, especially if it's for a big corporation.

Anyone else think this could be the start of more ACJ220s making their way to Asia-Pacific? And what do you guys think about the whole VIP airliner thing-overkill or just right for the corporate crowd? Would love to hear your thoughts!
I've always thought VIP-configured airliners are a flex, but for big corporations, they probably make sense. Imagine the time saved flying direct instead of dealing with commercial schedules. As for more ACJ220s in Asia-Pacific, I wouldn't be surprised. There's a lot of growth potential in the region, and plenty of wealthy businesses who'd love the convenience. I wonder how often it'll actually be used though. Do these planes end up sitting around more than flying?
VIP airliners are like flying boardrooms, honestly. I get why big companies use them. Direct flights save a ton of time, and you can have meetings in the air. The ACJ220 is a good fit for Asia-Pacific with all the business hubs around. I wonder if we'll see more of these as companies look for ways to keep execs productive on long-haul trips. Anyone know what kind of range this jet has? Curious how far it can go non-stop from Singapore.
