Universal Air starts Innsbruck to Greece charters - Thoughts?

Hey everyone, just read that Universal Air from Malta is running summer charter flights out of Innsbruck. They're working with a new tour operator called Idealtours. Seems like they've already started with a DHC-8-Q400 flight to Kefallinia. The flights will hit various Greek spots till early October.

Kind of cool that these smaller operators are getting into the game, right? Innsbruck isn't the biggest airport, so it's nice to see more connections, especially to holiday destinations like Greece. I guess it's a win-win for both Universal Air and Idealtours.

Also, Idealtours is using Eurowings for a weekly flight to Lamezia Terme. Makes me wonder how common it is for tour operators to mix and match airlines for their routes. Does it make things more complicated or is it just about getting the best deal?

Anyone here flown with Universal Air before? How's their service? And what do you think about these kinds of seasonal charters? Are they a good strategy for airlines or just a niche market? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Mixing airlines is pretty common for tour operators. It's usually about snagging the best deals or fitting in more flight options for their packages. As for Universal Air, never flown with them, but I've done a few seasonal charters with other airlines. They can be a smart move for both the airline and the operator if they get the timing and demand right. Perfect for folks looking for a direct, hassle-free way to a holiday spot. Anyone know how reliable Universal Air is?
Haven't flown with Universal Air myself, but these seasonal charters are pretty interesting. They offer unique routes that you don't often see with bigger airlines. I think they can be a good strategy if the demand's there during peak holiday times. As for mixing airlines, it probably keeps costs down and gives more flexibility. I'd be curious to know how many people actually use these charters though. Anyone here booked one of these flights yet?
I've never flown Universal Air, but these seasonal charters seem like a smart move for smaller airlines. They can tap into niche markets and offer routes that bigger guys might overlook. Innsbruck is such a scenic airport too, so it's a win for travelers. Mixing airlines probably keeps costs down for tour operators, but I wonder how it affects passenger experience. Do folks care if they're hopping between airlines as long as they get to where they're going?
I've always thought these seasonal charters are a clever play for smaller airlines. They fill in gaps that the big airlines might ignore. Innsbruck to Greece sounds perfect for summer. Never flown Universal Air, but I imagine their service would need to be pretty decent to compete. As for mixing airlines, I think it's just about getting the best route and price. Keeps things flexible for the tour operators. Anyone know how Universal Air manages in terms of punctuality? That can make or break a trip.
