Manta and Trans Maldivian Cutting Salaries - What's Going On?

So, I just read that Manta Air and Trans Maldivian Airways are cutting salaries because of a slump. Not too surprising given how tourism's been hit lately. The Maldives rely heavily on tourists, and with the ups and downs in global travel, it's bound to affect local airlines.

Honestly, it's a bummer for the employees. I've always thought the seaplane services there are super unique and pretty essential for getting around the islands. But I guess when there's less demand, they've got to make tough decisions to stay afloat.
