American Airlines Retires Its Last A330-300

I just read that American Airlines officially retired its last Airbus A330-300. Honestly, kind of bittersweet about this. I mean, those birds have been around since the US Airways days, right? They were workhorses on some key routes, especially transatlantic ones. I flew on one from Philly to Rome a couple of years back, and it was a solid ride. Sure, the cabin was a bit dated compared to newer aircraft, but they had a certain charm.

I get that the Boeing 787s and 777s are more efficient and all, but I'll miss the A330s, especially their unique engine whine during takeoff. Anyone else feel the same? Or maybe you think it's time for AA to modernize their fleet completely? Would love to hear your thoughts on this fleet change!
I'm with you on the bittersweet feeling. The A330-300s definitely had a unique presence. Remembering those US Airways days, they felt like a staple for transatlantic flights. The newer planes are cool and all, but they lack that nostalgic vibe. I think it makes sense for AA to go for the fuel efficiency of the 787s and 777s, though. Just curious, did you ever notice how quiet the A330s were compared to older jets? That engine whine was something else!
