American Airlines' New Logo Honors 250 Years of USA!

Hey everyone, just saw that American Airlines has unveiled a special commemorative logo on one of their Embraer 175s (N341MB) at DFW. This is part of their centennial celebration, but it also marks 250 years since the Declaration of Independence. Pretty cool that they're doing this, right? I mean, it's not every day you see an airline celebrating something like this.

The plane's gonna make its first flight from Miami to Caracas on April 30. Kind of interesting they picked that route for the inaugural flight. I guess Miami's a big hub for them, but Caracas seems a bit off the beaten path for a special flight. Any thoughts on why they chose Venezuela?

Also, does anyone know if they're planning to do more flights or events related to this America250 thing, or is it just a one-off deal? Would be neat to see more planes with the logo flying around. Anyway, looking forward to hearing what you guys think about this move by American Airlines!
Kinda surprised they picked Caracas too. Maybe it's about market strategy or something? Miami to Caracas isn't a typical route for a special flight, but who knows what their marketing folks were thinking. As for the America250 thing, I haven't heard about any other flights or events planned. It would be cool to see more planes with that logo, though. A bit of patriotism in the skies isn't a bad thing. Anyone know if other airlines are doing something similar?
Yeah, the Caracas route is a bit of a head-scratcher. Maybe there's a historical or cultural connection they're trying to highlight? Or could just be a logistical thing, like plane rotation or crew scheduling. As for the logo, it'd be cool if they rolled it out on more planes. Haven't heard about any more events, but I'd love to see a few more celebratory flights. Anyone know if other airlines are doing anything for America250?
I guess the Miami to Caracas choice might be about crew or aircraft logistics, but who knows, maybe they have some kind of partnership or agreement going on there. As for more events, I haven't heard anything, but it would be cool if they did a series of special flights or liveries. Imagine spotting different planes with unique designs celebrating the 250th! Hope they announce more soon. Anyone else have insider info or heard anything more about their plans?
Maybe they're trying to draw some attention to the Miami-Caracas route with the special flight? I know American has been trying to keep a solid presence in South America, so this could be part of that strategy. As for the America250 thing, it'd be awesome if they expanded it beyond just this one plane. Like, imagine seeing a whole fleet with different historical designs. That'd definitely catch some eyes. Anyone heard if any other airlines are doing something similar for the 250th?
