So I'm thinking about getting the Amex Business Platinum card mainly for the lounge access. I travel for work pretty often, and the idea of having somewhere comfortable to hang out during layovers is pretty appealing. I've done a bit of research, and it looks like I'd get access to Centurion Lounges, Priority Pass, and a few others. Anyone have experience with these lounges? Are they crowded or hard to get into? Also, I'm kind of wondering if the other perks justify the hefty annual fee. How do the rewards compare to other travel cards out there? Any tips on maximizing points with this card would be awesome too. Trying to figure out if it's really worth the investment or if I should just stick to my current setup. Thanks!
Is the Amex Business Platinum worth it for the lounge access?
I've had the Amex Business Platinum for a couple of years now. Centurion Lounges are usually great, but they can get crowded at peak times. Priority Pass helps fill the gaps when Centurion's not an option. As for the annual fee, if you travel a lot, the lounge access alone can justify it. Plus, the 5x points on flights and prepaid hotels can rack up quickly. Make sure you use the airline fee credit and Dell credits to get more value. Depends on your travel patterns, but it's been worth it for me.
