Emirates paying way less for war insurance? What's the deal?

So, I was reading something from the Financial Times about Emirates and their insurance. Apparently, they're getting this 'outrageously cheap' war risk insurance compared to other airlines. This info is coming from some insurers who know the details.

It got me thinking, how does an airline like Emirates manage to get such a sweet deal on something so crucial? I mean, insuring against war risks isn't exactly a small thing. Maybe they've got some special negotiations going on, or maybe their risk profile is just lower? Not sure.

Also, how do other airlines feel about this? It must be a bit frustrating if they're paying way more for the same kind of coverage. I wonder if this is going to push other airlines to renegotiate their own terms.

Anyone have insights on how war risk insurance works in the aviation industry? Or why there'd be such a big difference in what airlines pay? Seems like a pretty big deal considering the potential risks involved.
