Best Spotting Locations at LAX for Photography Enthusiasts

Hey fellow aviation enthusiasts! I'm planning a trip to Los Angeles soon and I can't wait to do some plane spotting at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport). I've heard it's one of the best airports in the world for aviation photography, but I'm not familiar with the best locations to capture great shots.

I've read about the In-N-Out Burger location near the airport, which seems popular, but I'm curious if there are other spots around LAX that offer unique angles or better lighting, especially for capturing wide-body aircraft or rare liveries.

Also, does anyone have tips on timing? Are there specific times of day when traffic is heavier, or when certain airlines usually operate their international flights? I'm hoping to catch some of the big players like the Airbus A380 or Boeing 777-300ER.

Would love to hear from anyone who has experience spotting at LAX or any locals who can offer some insider advice. Thanks in advance for your help!
The In-N-Out Burger location is indeed a classic spot for plane spotting at LAX, offering a great view of arrivals on Runway 24R. Another excellent location is the Imperial Hill at the corner of Imperial Avenue and California Street, which provides a panoramic view of the south runways and is ideal for capturing wide-body aircraft like the Airbus A380 and Boeing 777-300ER. For unique angles, try the Flight Path Museum and Learning Center, which gives you a closer look at runway action.

As for timing, late afternoon tends to be the best for lighting, especially during golden hour. LAX sees a lot of international arrivals in the early afternoon through the evening. Airlines like Emirates often operate their A380 flights during these times. Keep an eye on flight tracking apps for real-time updates. Happy spotting!
