Best Lens for Capturing Stunner Shots at LAX

Hey fellow spotters! I've been planning a trip to LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) and I'm looking to capture some stunning shots of aircraft in action. I'm curious to hear your thoughts on which lens would be best suited for this. Currently, I have a Canon R5 and I'm considering either the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1L IS USM or the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS III USM with an adapter.

I know LAX offers some great spotting locations like the In-N-Out Burger on Sepulveda Blvd for final approach shots and the Imperial Hill for a broader view. Given these spots, do you think the extra reach of the 100-500mm is worth it, or would the versatility of the 70-200mm with a teleconverter be sufficient?

Any advice on dealing with heat haze or other atmospheric challenges at LAX would also be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to hearing your experiences and suggestions!
