Australia's Marathon Flights in 2026: Who's Ready for the Long Haul?

Started by DLMAX • 20 hours ago • 1 replies • 53 views
So, I just read that Australia's stepping up their long-haul game with 7 marathon routes planned for 2026. It's all about those advanced engine tech and airframe designs letting planes go further than ever before. Pretty crazy how far aviation has come, right? With Australia being so far from the rest of the world, these ultra-long-hauls make a lot of sense. We're talking about flights that can go thousands of miles non-stop.

I think it's pretty cool that they're pushing the limits of what planes can do. But I also wonder how comfortable these flights will be. Like, can you imagine being on a plane for that long, even with all the modern amenities?

And what about the environmental impact? With all these long flights, are airlines doing enough to offset emissions?

Anyone here planning to take one of these marathon flights in 2026? Or maybe you already have some long-haul stories to share? Let's chat!
