So, Salt Lake City Airport finally wrapped up its massive $5.1 billion overhaul. Took them 12 years! The last bit of the project just opened up with Concourse B East, and here's the kicker - United Airlines snagged most of the new gates. That's kind of a big deal since Delta's been dominating SLC for ages.
Honestly, I'm a bit surprised United got such a chunk. I always thought of SLC as Delta's stronghold. I guess competition's heating up! Wonder how this'll shake things up for passengers. More options and flights, maybe?
But, what's Delta's move going to be? Are they going to try and get more gates back somehow, or focus on beefing up services in other hubs? And what about United? Think they'll expand routes out of SLC now that they've got more room?
Curious to see how this plays out. What do you all think? Will this change the dynamics at SLC or is it just business as usual?
