What's the Deal with Airline First Class Menus?

Started by GregoryCamera79 • 3 days ago • 2 replies • 39 views
So, I was cleaning out my attic and found a bunch of old first class menus from different airlines in the '80s and '90s. I don't even remember collecting these, but here they are! They're actually pretty cool, with fancy designs and some interesting meal options (lobster thermidor, anyone?). I'm wondering if anyone else out there collects these?

Are they worth anything, or is it just more about the nostalgia? I've got ones from Pan Am, TWA, and even a couple from British Airways. They're all in pretty decent condition, too.

If you do collect them, how do you display them? Just thinking about putting them in a binder or something, but maybe there's a better way.

Would love to hear if anyone else is into this kind of thing or if you have any tips!
I've got a few of those menus myself! They're a neat piece of aviation history. Not sure about their monetary value, but nostalgia's a huge part of it for me. As for displaying, I use a shadow box frame for mine. Keeps them in good condition and makes for a nice wall display. Might be worth checking out if you're not into the binder idea. Anyone know if they actually sell for much these days?
