Aurigny Pulling Out of Leeds Bradford in 2027 - Thoughts?

So, just heard that Aurigny Air Services is planning to suspend flights from Leeds Bradford Airport in 2027. They've been flying the Yorkshire to Guernsey route for about ten years now. Kinda surprising to see them pulling out after such a long run. I guess it wasn't as profitable or maybe there's another reason behind it?

Aurigny's mainly a Channel Islands airline, so maybe they're refocusing their efforts closer to home or something. Honestly, I always thought it was cool that you could hop from Yorkshire to Guernsey so easily. Wonder if anyone else is gonna step in to fill that gap.

Do you think this will impact Leeds Bradford much, or is it just one of those things that happens? And what about Guernsey - will they miss the connection, or do they have enough other options? Curious what you all think about this.
Bummer, I've used that route a few times. Super convenient for a weekend getaway. I guess if it wasn't making money, it makes sense for them to pull out. Leeds Bradford might not feel it too much since it's not their main route, but for folks in Guernsey who liked the direct link to Yorkshire, it might be a bit of a pain. Wonder if another airline like Jet2 could step in. They've got a pretty solid presence at LBA.
Yeah, it's a shame they're stopping. I always thought it was a neat little route too. I wonder if the low-cost carriers like Ryanair or Jet2 might see an opportunity here. They love jumping in on routes where others pull out. Guernsey might feel it more than Leeds Bradford, though, since it doesn't have as many flight options. But who knows, maybe Aurigny's got bigger plans for the Channel Islands that make up for it.
I think it's a bit of both - profitability and focusing on the Channel Islands. The route might not have been full enough to justify keeping it. Leeds Bradford's got a decent mix of flights, so losing one route probably won't hit too hard. But for Guernsey folks, fewer direct options might be a bummer. Maybe some regional carrier could jump in, but who knows? It's all about the numbers at the end of the day.
Honestly, I'm kinda bummed about this. I flew that route a couple of times, and it was perfect for a quick trip to Guernsey. I get why Aurigny might want to focus more on their core routes, but still, it's a loss for those of us who liked the convenience. I wonder if this means more connecting flights to get there now. Do you think Leeds Bradford might try to attract another carrier to replace them?
