Dan Air's Insolvency Woes - Another One Bites the Dust?

So, Dan Air just filed for insolvency, and it sounds pretty rough for them. They owe around 10 million to Romania's Environmental Fund Administration, which is a huge chunk of their 25.4 million total debt. I mean, that's a lot of money no matter how you slice it.

They filed for protection at the Ilfov Tribunal on October 22, 2026. Seems like they're really struggling to keep things afloat. I wonder how this'll affect their flight operations? It's got to be tough on their staff and passengers too, not knowing what's going to happen next.

I don't know much about their fleet or routes, but it's never great to see an airline in this kind of situation. Especially with the environmental debt - I guess it shows how keeping up with regulations can be a big hurdle for airlines.

Anyone got thoughts on what this might mean for the Romanian aviation market? Or if other airlines might step in to fill any gaps left by Dan Air? Curious to hear what you all think!
Yeah, it's a rough spot for Dan Air. That environmental debt is a killer. A lot of airlines struggle with those green regulations, especially smaller ones. If they can't manage it, I guess Ryanair or Wizz Air might swoop in to cover those routes. The staff must be on edge right now. Hope they get some clarity soon. Do you think this could push other airlines to rethink their environmental strategies to avoid similar issues?
