5th-Gen Fighters: Who's Leading the Pack?

So, I was reading about 5th-gen fighters and wow, these jets are serious tech beasts! The F-22 Raptor from the US was the first to hit the skies back in 2005, and it's still a big deal for air superiority. Then there's the F-35, which seems like it's everywhere now, with countries like the UK, Australia, and Japan using it.

China's J-20 Mighty Dragon is pretty interesting too. It's been around since 2017 and shows how China is stepping up its game in military aviation. Russia's Su-57, while not as widespread, is still a major player. I didn't realize it only started getting into service in 2020.

It's cool to see Turkey and South Korea getting into the game with their own projects, the KAAN and KF-21 respectively. They're not fully operational yet, but it's a big step for them.

Japan's X-2 is more of a tech demo, but it's paving the way for future advancements.

I'm curious, do you guys think more countries will jump into developing these advanced fighters? And how important do you think it is for a country to have its own fifth-gen fighter in terms of defense strategy?
I think more countries will definitely try to get in on the fifth-gen fighter game. It's not just about having the tech but also about the prestige and strategic independence. Look at India-they've been working on the AMCA project for years now. It's a strategic move to reduce reliance on foreign military imports. But it's insanely expensive, so not every country can pull it off. Plus, the geopolitical landscape can shift if more countries have this tech. Wonder how it'll influence alliances and defense strategies globally.
