Spotting at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) - Best Spots for Evening Golden Hour?

Started by AVInsider696 • 1 weeks ago • 2 replies • 26 views
Hey all, planning a spotting trip to Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) soon and wondering if anyone's got tips for catching that perfect golden hour light. I've heard the airport has some pretty cool vantage points, but not sure which ones are best later in the day.

Also, if you've got any advice on camera settings for those dramatic evening shots, please share! I'm using a Canon EOS R6 with a 100-400mm lens, if that helps.

Looking forward to any suggestions or stories you've got from your own experiences there. Bangkok's got such a busy airport, I can't wait to see what I can capture!
Check out the Sky Lane bike path area near the airport. It's got a great view of the runways, especially for evening shots. I've had some amazing golden hour photos from there. As for settings, try starting with ISO 400 and f/8.0 to get those sharp details, and adjust based on the light. The 100-400mm lens will be perfect for close-ups. Just watch out for security; they're usually fine with spotters but better to be cautious. Enjoy BKK!
