Trying to Figure Out Amex Points for Singapore Airlines Suites

Started by DRodriguez525 • 1 weeks ago • 3 replies • 45 views
Alright, I'm trying to plan a special trip and want to fly Singapore Airlines Suites. I've got a bunch of Amex Membership Rewards points saved up, but I'm not 100% sure on the best way to use them for this.

From what I've read, transferring to KrisFlyer is an option, but I've also seen some folks mention using other partners like Virgin Atlantic Flying Club to book. Anyone have experience with this? Is there a better way to snag a seat in Suites without breaking the bank? Also, any tips on finding availability? I've heard it's tough to find open seats.

Any advice or personal experiences would be super helpful. Don't want to waste my points or miss out on this chance if I can help it!
Transferring to KrisFlyer is probably your best shot. Virgin Atlantic Flying Club used to be a good alternative, but Singapore Airlines Suites are rarely available through them now. With KrisFlyer, you're dealing with Singapore Airlines directly, so you've got a better chance. Availability is the tricky part, though. It can get booked up fast, especially during peak times. I'd suggest setting alerts or checking regularly. Maybe even call their customer service for help if you're not seeing anything online. Good luck!
I transferred my Amex points to KrisFlyer, and it worked out well for a Suites booking. Just make sure you check availability often. They release seats at different times, and it's kinda hit or miss. One thing I found helpful was setting alerts on sites that track award seats. Virgin Atlantic used to be an option, but it's super rare now. Have you considered booking a mixed cabin if Suites isn't available for the whole route? Sometimes that can work out.
