Qantas Engineers' Work Ban: Will It Impact Project Sunrise?

So, it looks like Qantas engineers have had enough. They've launched a two-hour work ban for the first time in 16 years over a pay dispute. This went down on October 12th, from 10 am to noon, affecting maintenance on their big birds like the 787s and A380s. The union, Professionals Australia, is pushing for a 13% pay hike, but Qantas is only offering 3%. Big gap there. I get why the engineers are pressing for more, especially with wage freezes and inflation in the mix. But Qantas says their operations won't be hit by this.

The union is hinting that if things don't get resolved, it could mess with Project Sunrise, which is Qantas' big plan for ultra-long-haul flights. That could be a real headache if it comes to that. Anyone else think Qantas and the engineers need to find some middle ground before it escalates? Also, do you guys think this will impact Project Sunrise if they can't sort things out soon?
