Vintage Airline Crew Uniform Patches - Anyone Collect?

Started by PatriciaNerd40 • 2 weeks ago • 2 replies • 46 views
So I recently found a small collection of airline crew uniform patches at a garage sale, and it got me thinking. These patches are from various airlines, mostly from the '70s and '80s. There's something really cool about the designs and logos from back then. I've got pieces from airlines that don't even exist anymore, which makes them feel kinda special.

I'm curious if anyone else here collects these, or am I the only one fascinated by them? Also, if you do collect, how do you display or store them? I'm thinking of putting them in a shadow box, but I'm open to suggestions. I'm also a bit clueless about the rarity or value of these patches, so if anyone has tips on that, I'd appreciate it. Let's hear it from any fellow patch collectors!
I've got a small collection too! Mostly from airlines that shut down ages ago like Pan Am and Eastern. I keep mine in a binder with clear sleeves so I can flip through them. Shadow boxes are a great idea if you wanna display them on a wall. As for value, it really depends on the airline and condition. Some collectors go nuts for patches from defunct airlines. You score any rare ones?
