Qatar Airways Phasing Out A380s - What Do You Think?

So, I just read that Qatar Airways is planning to phase out their A380s by 2024. Kinda sad, right? Those double-deckers are such a sight, but I guess their operating costs are just too high compared to more modern aircraft like the A350 and 787s. I think they're focusing more on efficiency and sustainability now.

From what I understand, Qatar's been slowly moving towards a leaner, more fuel-efficient fleet, which makes sense financially and environmentally. But still, gonna miss seeing those giants at airports. Anyone else think they should keep a few around for special routes or occasions? Or is it better to just move on completely?

And what about all that space on the A380s? You think they'll be able to offer the same luxury experience on smaller aircraft? Let me know what you guys think about this shift. Is it the right move for Qatar Airways?
Yeah, I get it. The A380s are awesome to watch, but they're kind of dinosaurs when it comes to fuel efficiency. Modern jets like the A350 and 787 just make more sense. Less fuel, fewer emissions. I do wonder if they'll find a way to replicate that luxury feel on smaller planes. First-class on an A380 is hard to beat. Maybe they could use some of the freed-up space to upgrade business class on the newer models? Would be interesting to see how they handle it.
I totally get why Qatar's doing this. A380s are beautiful, but they're gas guzzlers. It makes sense to switch to more efficient planes like the A350. They're not just cheaper to operate, they're also better for the environment. As for luxury, airlines are getting creative with smaller planes. Suites and fancy lounges can be done on A350s and 787s too, just with a smart layout. Still, part of me will miss those big birds at the gate. Maybe they'll bring them back for special occasions?
