Newark's Runway 11/29 Getting a Big Overhaul - Thoughts?

So I just read about Newark Liberty planning some major work on Runway 11/29 under the Port Authority's Capital Plan. They're looking at an $85 million rehab over the next decade, which is pretty hefty. Right now, it's just in the planning stages, but it sounds like they're serious about it.

Honestly, this seems like a smart move given how busy Newark is. I mean, it's one of the major airports in the NYC area, so keeping the runways in top shape is crucial. But $85 million is a lot of dough. Wondering how they'll manage that budget and what kind of upgrades they're planning exactly. Anyone have more insight on what typically goes into these kinds of runway rehabs?

Also, with this being part of a 2026-2035 plan, I'm curious about how it'll affect flights in and out of Newark while they're working on it. Do you guys think they'll manage to keep disruptions to a minimum, or could we see some major delays? Let me know what you think!
