So, just heard about this Jet2 flight from Tenerife to London Stansted that got evacuated because of a bomb threat. Happened on September 25th. Seems like some passenger made the threat, and they had to get everyone off the plane so the Civil Guard could check things out. Crazy stuff!
The flight was supposed to leave at 11:20 AM local time, but obviously, that didn't happen as planned. I can't even imagine how scary that must've been for the passengers and crew. Good thing they took precautions and searched everything.
I'm wondering, what happens to a passenger who makes a threat like this? Like, do they get banned from flying or face some serious legal trouble? Also, how often do these threats turn out to be real vs. just someone causing panic for no reason?
It just makes me think about how much airline staff have to deal with. They're trained for all sorts of scenarios, but this isn't something you deal with every day, right? Anyone else got more info on what usually happens in these cases? Would love to hear your thoughts!
