Lufthansa's New A350 Order - Smart Move?

So, I just read that Lufthansa's placing an order for 10 more A350-900s. I think it's a pretty solid move, considering their plans to phase out the older A340s. They've already got a bunch in their fleet, so maybe this is just beefing up the numbers for long-haul? I mean, the A350 is known for being fuel-efficient, which seems to be the direction everyone's heading.

But I'm kinda curious if this means they might open up some new routes or just increase frequency on existing ones. Anyone have thoughts on which routes might see these new A350s? Or do you think they're just looking to replace aging aircraft?

Also, with all the noise about sustainability, I guess this aligns with that whole greener future thing airlines are aiming for. Anyone else think more airlines will follow suit with similar orders?
