Is the Southwest Companion Pass Still Worth It for 2024?

I've been a Southwest flyer for years, and the Companion Pass has always been a big win for me. But with all the changes lately, I'm wondering if it's still as valuable for 2024.

I used to get a ton of use out of it, especially for weekend getaways and visiting family. But I've heard there might be some changes to route availability and points earning.

Anyone have recent experience with this? Are the benefits still as good as before? I'm debating whether to go for it again or maybe look at other options like AAdvantage or even JetBlue's program. Thoughts?
I've been on the fence about it too. The Companion Pass was gold for me when I was flying Southwest a lot, but I've noticed fewer direct routes to where I want to go. Plus, with points devaluing, it just doesn't stretch as far. If your travel plans line up with their routes, it might still be worth it. But I'd compare it with AAdvantage or JetBlue if you're thinking about switching - they've both been stepping up their game recently. Anyone else feel like Southwest is cutting back a bit?
