So ANA just launched their second Pokmon-themed plane of 2026, and it's already flying to Honolulu! It took off this morning from Tokyo Haneda. Kinda cool to see airlines doing these themed jets. I know the first one got a lot of attention. This one is a green Pokmon Jet. Can't help but wonder which Pokmon are featured on it-anyone know?
It's interesting they chose Honolulu for the inaugural flight. Maybe because it's a popular vacation spot for folks from Japan? I guess the 7-hour flight gives plenty of time to enjoy the themed experience onboard.
Do you guys think these themed planes are a good way for airlines to stand out, or is it more of a gimmick? Also, would you go out of your way to book a flight on one of these just for the experience? I'd be tempted, honestly.
