Is Flying Blue's Promo Rewards Still a Good Deal?

Started by CharlesLanding95 • 1 months ago • 6 replies • 75 views
Hey all, I've been looking at Flying Blue's Promo Rewards lately and I'm wondering if they're still worth it. I used to snag some great deals on KLM and Air France routes, but it feels like the offers aren't as enticing as they used to be.

I'm specifically eyeing some routes to South America, and I'm curious if anyone's had recent luck with these rewards. Are the savings still significant, or have they been watered down? Also, any tips on booking these? Like, is it better to jump on them ASAP or is there a sweet spot for getting the best value?

Would love to hear your thoughts or recent experiences. Trying to make the most of my miles and not sure if this is still the way to go. Thanks!
I hear you. Flying Blue's Promo Rewards used to be a goldmine for those South America routes. Lately, I've noticed the discounts aren't as hefty, especially with increased taxes and fees. I think it's still worth keeping an eye on, though. If you spot a decent deal, I'd say grab it quickly. They can disappear fast, especially on popular routes. As for booking tips, maybe try midweek searches; sometimes less competition means better rewards. Anyone else noticed a sweet spot for booking these?
I've noticed the same thing. The discounts aren't what they used to be, especially when you factor in the extra fees. For South America, I'd still keep an eye on them, though. Sometimes a decent deal pops up if you're flexible with dates. I usually book as soon as I see something that fits my plans because they can disappear fast. Also, check other loyalty programs too. Sometimes they have better offers for the same routes.
I've been checking those Promo Rewards too and it's hit or miss lately. Scored a pretty decent deal to Rio last year, but the taxes and fees really ate into the savings. I'd say if you see something that looks good, jump on it. They seem to disappear fast. It's not like the old days, but sometimes you get lucky. Anyone else tried setting alerts for specific routes? Curious if that helps catch the better deals.
I was eyeing those Promo Rewards for a trip to Buenos Aires, and yeah, the deals aren't as hot as they used to be. A few years back, I grabbed a killer deal to Lima, but now the fees seem to overshadow any savings. I think if you spot a decent discount, jump on it fast. They go quick, and it's rare to find something better closer to your travel date. Anyone else think the taxes are getting out of hand?
I've had mixed results too. It feels like those Promo Rewards used to be no-brainers, but now it's more about timing. If you're eyeing South America, I'd say grab it as soon as you see something decent. The good ones seem to disappear fast. Also, check if you can avoid peak dates to get better value. But yeah, with the fees creeping up, it's not always the steal it once was. Anyone know if they're planning any changes to the program?
