Wizz Air's Big Winter Comeback to the Middle East! Thoughts?

Hey everyone, just saw some news about Wizz Air ramping up flights to the Middle East for the winter 2026-27 season. They're bringing back 12 routes between Europe and places like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. Pretty big move after they had to cut back due to airspace issues earlier this year.

Looks like Abu Dhabi is getting a lot of love with 20 weekly flights from six European cities, which is a nice boost. Dubai and Jeddah are also getting a good chunk of flights. Seems like a smart move since these are popular spots both for tourists and those visiting family.

Wizz Air is using their A321neos for these routes. Makes sense because they can pack in 239 people and still keep costs down. Plus, the new engines supposedly cut fuel use and emissions by 20%. Not bad!

What do you all think? Is this a sign that Wizz Air is betting big on the Middle East market? And do you think these routes will stick around after winter, or is this just seasonal? Curious to hear your thoughts!
I think Wizz Air is definitely taking a calculated risk with this move. The Middle East is a hotspot for travel, especially during winter when people from Europe are looking to escape the cold. The A321neo is a solid choice for these routes. It's efficient, which should help keep fares competitive. But I wonder if demand will be strong enough year-round to maintain these routes beyond the seasonal push. Anyone else think this could lead to some price wars with other budget carriers?
Wizz Air's move seems smart. The demand for the Middle East, especially places like Abu Dhabi and Dubai, spikes in winter. But I wonder if they'll keep the routes post-winter. A lot depends on how the political and airspace issues play out. Also, using the A321neo is a solid plan. Lower fuel costs could help them keep ticket prices competitive. Anyone know if the competition is planning something similar? Curious if this will spark a price war.
