Vintage Airline Advertising Posters - Any Collectors Here?

So, I've started getting into collecting vintage airline advertising posters. I stumbled upon a really cool 1960s BOAC poster at a flea market, and I've been hooked ever since. It's got that classic mid-century design vibe with vibrant colors that just pop.

I'm curious if anyone else here collects these? They seem like a great way to get a piece of aviation history with some artistic flair. Plus, they make for awesome wall art.

I've noticed some posters can get pretty pricey, especially if they're in mint condition. Does anyone have tips on where to find deals or how to authenticate original prints? I know eBay is an option, but I'm a bit wary of fakes.

Also, how do you guys display them? I was thinking of getting some framed, but not sure if there's a better way to preserve them. Any advice would be awesome!

I've got a few vintage airline posters myself. Love the aesthetic! For finding deals, estate sales and antique shops can sometimes surprise you with gems. As for authentication, check for any markings or stamps that indicate print runs. Also, compare with known originals online to see if anything's off. Framing is definitely a good idea for preservation, but use UV protective glass to prevent fading. I once skipped that, and my poster colors started to fade over time. Learned my lesson the hard way!
