Anyone else into collecting airline branded blankets?

Started by TheCaptainFan 5 days ago 2 replies 22 views
So, I stumbled onto something pretty cool the other day. I was cleaning out my attic and found an old blanket from Delta Airlines, still in its original packaging. Got me thinking - are airline blankets a thing to collect? I've heard of folks collecting amenity kits and safety cards, but blankets seem like a neat idea too. They've got that cozy, nostalgic vibe.

I've only got this one from Delta, but I'm curious if there are others out there doing this. Are there any rare ones or specific airlines that are more sought after? How do you guys store them, given that they can take up a bit of space?

Would love to hear if anyone's into this or if I should just keep using mine for couch naps!
I've never collected airline blankets, but I totally get the appeal. They do have that nostalgic charm, especially if they're from airlines that don't exist anymore. I know some folks go for the vintage Pan Am or TWA stuff. As for storing them, I've heard some people use those vacuum-seal bags. It saves space and keeps them in good condition. If you ever come across a Concorde blanket, snag it! Those can be pretty rare and collectible. Curious if anyone's found a creative way to display them?
