Naples Airport Delays Renovations Again - What's the Deal?

So I just heard that the renovations at Naples Capodichino Airport are now pushed back to the fourth quarter of 2026. Anyone else feel like they've been talking about these upgrades forever? I mean, it's not like the airport doesn't need them. Capodichino's a bit cramped, and I think some improvements could really help ease the congestion and make it a better experience for everyone flying in and out of there.

Not sure why they keep delaying it, though. Is it funding issues, or are they just struggling to get the planning right? Would be interesting to know if there's something specific holding them back. I guess with all the tourism in Naples, the airport's probably under a lot of pressure.

Yeah, it's frustrating how long they're taking. I've flown through Capodichino a few times, and it's definitely cramped. I read somewhere that funding's been a big issue. They keep revising the budget, which might be slowing things down. Also, local bureaucracy in Italy can be pretty slow, which doesn't help. Once they do get it done, I think it'll make a huge difference. More space and better facilities could really improve the passenger flow. Wonder how many more delays we'll see before they actually get started, though.
