Delta's Massive Airbus A350 Order - Smart Move?

So, I heard Delta is going all in with a big order of 12 more Airbus A350s. That's on top of the 15 A350s they already have in service. Pretty bold move, right? I guess they're looking to replace their older 767s and 777s, but I'm wondering how this'll change their long-haul game.
