Anyone Tried Spotting at Lisbon Airport (LIS)?

Started by NathanFlight22 2 weeks ago 2 replies 57 views
Hey folks, I'm planning a trip to Portugal and thinking about doing some spotting at Lisbon Airport (LIS). Never been there before, so I'm really curious about the best spots to set up. I heard there's some cool elevated spots near Terminal 1, but I'm not sure if they're actually accessible.

Also, what kind of lens would you recommend for this location? I usually shoot with a 70-300mm, but not sure if that's enough for LIS. Any tips on dealing with the lighting there too? I imagine the light could get pretty intense later in the day.

Would love to hear from anyone who's been there or has any tips. Thanks!
I've done some spotting at LIS! The spot near Terminal 1 is pretty good, but it can be hit or miss with access. Sometimes security moves people along, so just be prepared for that. Your 70-300mm should be just fine there. Got some nice shots with mine. As for lighting, yeah, it can get harsh in the afternoon. Try to go in the morning or late afternoon for softer light. Enjoy your trip!
