Wizz Air's New Base in Braov - What's the Deal?

So I just read that Wizz Air is planning to open a new base in Braov, Romania by the end of 2026. That's pretty interesting, right? I mean, Wizz Air's been expanding like crazy in Eastern Europe, and adding Braov seems like a smart move. From what I know, Braov is a popular tourist spot, so I'm guessing they're banking on that. Plus, Braov Airport is pretty new, so there's probably a lot of potential there.

Honestly, I'm curious how this will affect other airports in Romania, like Bucharest or Cluj. Do you guys think it'll draw some traffic away from them? And what about the competition with other low-cost carriers? There are quite a few already operating in that region.

Also, I wonder what destinations they'll serve from Braov. Maybe some cool new routes we haven't seen before? It'll be interesting to see how this plays out over the next few years. Anyone have more insights on Wizz Air's strategy or what this could mean for the local aviation scene in Romania?
I'm curious about this too. Braov's airport is pretty new, so maybe Wizz sees untapped potential there. It's a logical move given the tourist draw. But yeah, it'll be interesting to see if it pulls traffic from Bucharest or Cluj. As for routes, maybe they'll target places with strong tourist links or underserved cities. And with other budget airlines in the mix, it's gonna be competitive. Anyone know if Wizz Air has hinted at specific routes yet?
