Qantas Retiring Their Last 747 - End of an Era?

So I just read that Qantas is finally retiring their last Boeing 747! Crazy how long those birds have been flying, right? I think the last one is a 747-400, VH-OEJ if I remember correctly. I mean, they've been part of Qantas since the 70s, and now they're all getting replaced by the Dreamliners and A350s.

I get it, the newer planes are more fuel-efficient and all, but there's something about the 747 that just screams classic aviation. I even remember seeing a special livery on one of them a few years ago, which was pretty cool.

Anyone else gonna miss seeing those iconic humpbacks in the sky? Or are you more excited about the new fleet? Also, curious if other airlines are planning the same with their 747s. Let me know what you think!

Definitely gonna miss the 747s. They've got that timeless look, you know? Like, when you see one, you instantly recognize it. My first long-haul flight was on a Qantas 747, so there's some nostalgia there. But, yeah, airlines are moving on. British Airways already retired theirs last year. Makes sense with fuel efficiency and all, but the skies won't feel the same. Anyone know if any of these retired ones are heading to museums or being repurposed? Would be cool to see them preserved somehow.
