So, Qantas and Airbus just pulled off some pretty wild test flights with the A350-1000ULR. Over 43 hours in the air across two flights! That's gotta be some kind of record for them. The flights started from Toulouse, and I guess this is part of their plan to connect eastern Australia with places like Europe and NYC without stopping.
I mean, it's kinda cool that we're getting closer to these ultra-long-haul flights becoming a regular thing. The idea of flying non-stop from, say, Sydney to London or New York is pretty nuts when you think about it. But I'm wondering how passengers will handle being in the air for so long. I love flying, but 20+ hours in a plane might test my patience!
Anyone knows how this compares with other long-haul flights currently? And what do y'all think about these super long flights? Is it worth it to avoid a layover, or would you rather stretch your legs with a stop? Curious to hear your thoughts!
