Boeing's Next Jet: Not Until 2030?

Started by VA767 1 months ago 1 replies 87 views
So, I just read that Boeing's not planning to roll out a new jet program until 2030. They're saying they want to stabilize their finances first and make sure all the MAX variants and the B777X are fully certified. Makes sense, I guess, given the issues they've faced in recent years. Sounds like they really want to get their house in order before diving into another big project.

Honestly, it's probably a smart move for them to focus on readiness rather than just trying to keep up with Airbus or other competitors. Still, 2030 feels like a long way off. I wonder if this slow approach will affect their market position, especially if Airbus keeps pushing out new models.

What do you guys think? Is Boeing playing it safe, or are they dragging their feet a bit too much? And do you think this will give Airbus a bigger edge in the market over the next few years?
