So, it looks like premium economy is really taking off (pun intended) as a go-to choice for long-haul flights these days. I read that by 2026, almost half of all widebody planes around the world will have premium economy seats. Even crazier, about 90% of North American widebody fleets already have it. That's a big shift from just a decade ago when it was more of a niche thing.
I guess people are realizing they want more comfort than economy but can't always shell out for business class. Makes sense-those extra inches of legroom and better food can make a long flight way more bearable. Plus, it doesn't hit the wallet as hard as business class.
I'm curious about what you guys think. Do you reckon premium economy is here to stay, or is it just a fad? Have any of you flown premium economy recently? Was it worth the extra cost? I haven't tried it yet, but it seems like it might be the perfect middle ground for those long hauls. Let me know your thoughts!
