Premium Economy vs Economy in 2026: Worth the Upgrade?

So, I was reading about how by 2026, flying is gonna feel pretty different, especially when it comes to Premium Economy vs regular Economy. Airlines are really stepping up their game with Premium Economy, trying to make it a solid middle ground between the cramped economy seats and the luxury of business class.

From what I gather, Premium Economy will offer more legroom, better meal options, and maybe even a bit more privacy. But it does come with a steeper price tag. I think it's cool that there are more choices, but I'm wondering if it's really worth paying extra? I mean, if you're on a long-haul flight, the added comfort might make a huge difference. But for shorter trips, does it really matter?

What do you guys think? Has anyone tried Premium Economy recently, and did it feel like a good bang for your buck? Or do you prefer saving up for a full-blown Business Class experience instead? Would love to hear your thoughts!
Tried Premium Economy a couple of times, and it's definitely comfier for long-hauls. More legroom and better meals made a difference on my 10-hour flight. But yeah, for short flights, I usually just stick to regular Economy. The price difference doesn't seem worth it unless it's a long trip. Business Class is awesome, but that's a whole different budget. Curious if airlines will keep improving Premium Economy to make it more tempting, though. Anyone heard if specific airlines are planning big changes by 2026?
