Hey folks, I'm planning a trip to Van Nuys Airport (VNY) soon and I'm trying to decide on the best lens to bring. I have a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 and a Sigma 150-600mm. Not sure if the longer reach is necessary or if the 70-200mm would be better for flexibility since VNY has some great close-up spots.
Has anyone shot there before? I've read that there are some great spots near the runways but not sure about the distance from the action. Do you think the 600mm would be overkill? Or maybe I should stick with the 70-200mm for more versatility and lighter weight?
Any advice from those who've been there would be super helpful. Also, if you have any tips on good spots or times of day to catch some interesting traffic, I'm all ears. Thanks!
