Anyone tried using Chase points for Hyatt stays?

Started by AVWatcher449 1 weeks ago 3 replies 34 views
So, I've been stacking up a bunch of Chase Ultimate Rewards points and I'm thinking about using them for some Hyatt stays. I've heard they're a pretty good value, but I'm not totally sure about the process. Anyone here done this before? How's the availability generally-especially for those higher-end Hyatt properties? Also, do you get any elite benefits if you book through the Chase portal? I've got a couple trips planned and want to make the most out of my points. Any tips or experiences would be awesome!
I've used Chase points for Hyatt stays a couple of times, and it's usually a good deal, especially for the higher-end properties. You transfer points to the World of Hyatt program directly, and the value per point is often better than booking through the Chase portal. Availability can be a hit or miss though, so plan ahead. As for elite benefits, you generally get them if you transfer to Hyatt and book through them, but not if you book directly through the Chase portal. What locations are you thinking about?
Transferring Chase points to Hyatt can be a great deal, especially for luxury properties. I've done it a few times. Just make sure you check award availability on Hyatt's site before transferring since it's not reversible. Availability can be tight for high-end spots, so plan early. As for elite benefits, if you transfer and book directly with Hyatt, you'll usually get them, unlike booking through Chase's portal. What's your travel schedule like? Could help to be flexible with dates for better choices.
