Hey all, I've been trying to catch some sunrise shots at Sydney Airport (SYD) and could use some advice on camera settings. The light's usually pretty low just as the sun's coming up, and I want to get those vibrant colors without the planes looking too dark. I'm currently using a Canon EOS R6. Anyone have tips on the best ISO, aperture, and shutter speed settings for this time of day? Also, any specific spots around the airport where the sunrise hits just right? I've been trying different spots but haven't quite nailed it yet. Appreciate any help or suggestions!

I'd start with an ISO around 400 to 800, depending on how dark it is. For aperture, try f/8 to f/11 to keep the planes sharp. Shutter speed's tricky-maybe around 1/500s or faster to freeze motion, but you might need to adjust based on the light and plane speed. As for spots, have you tried the beach near Runway 16L/34R? The light can be great there at sunrise, especially with the water reflecting it. Weather can make a big difference too, so keep an eye on the forecast!
