So I was reading about Aeroplan's new stopover option where you can add a stopover for 5,000 points on award tickets. I'm thinking of planning a trip to Europe next year and was wondering if anyone has tried this yet? Seems like a cool way to see another city without spending a ton of extra points.
I'm mostly interested in visiting Paris, but if I could stopover in Lisbon or maybe even Reykjavik, that'd be awesome. Anyone have tips on which routes might offer good value with this new feature? Or if there are any catches I should be aware of? Trying to figure out if this could be a good way to maximize my points for a more exciting trip.
Also, does anyone know how availability looks for this kind of booking, or if there are any hidden fees? Would love to hear any experiences or recommendations!
