So, here's something wild that happened recently. A NetJets Bombardier Global 6500 had a bit of a scare over New York. The pilots reported a near miss with a 'large silver object' at around 15,800 feet. This was when they were climbing out of NYC, heading to Colombia. They radioed the whole thing to air traffic control, and those transmissions are buzzing online right now. Luckily, they managed to continue their flight without any issues.
I mean, what could that 'large silver object' be? Drones? Some kind of weather balloon? Or are we in UFO territory here? It's not every day you hear about something like this, especially at that altitude.
Honestly, it's a bit concerning. Near misses are serious, and the fact that the object remains unidentified leaves a lot of questions. How common are these kinds of incidents, and do you think there's a chance we'll ever find out what it was? With all the tech and surveillance, you'd think there'd be a way to track these things down. What do you guys think? Anyone have any similar stories or ideas on what this could've been?
