Did you guys catch the Swedish Air Force's 100-year celebration flyover in Stockholm? They had a huge formation with 54 aircraft and helicopters. That's pretty massive! It happened on July 1st, right over Stockholm Castle. Must've been quite the sight!
They flew the Saab JAS 39 Gripen fighters, among others. I think the Gripen is such a sleek looking jet-fast too! Always cool to see them in action. It's not every day you get to see such a large formation, especially in Sweden.
I'm curious, do you think events like this make more people interested in military aviation? Also, I wonder how tricky it is to coordinate something this big. Anyone have any idea what goes into planning a flyover like this? Seems like a logistical nightmare but also super rewarding when it goes off without a hitch.
Anyway, if anyone was there or has more details, I'd love to hear more about it!
