What's Up with Lufthansa's New Livery Tweaks?

Started by BOS330Watcher 3 weeks ago 5 replies 40 views
Did anyone else notice Lufthansa's subtle changes to their livery recently? I was checking out some photos and it seems like they've made some updates to the shade of blue and the font. It's not a huge change, but I think it gives a slightly fresher look without straying too far from their classic style.

I kind of miss the yellow crane though, but that's just me! Apparently, they want to reflect a more modern and premium image. It's interesting how airlines keep tweaking their liveries to stay relevant. I'm curious what you all think about this new look? Do subtle changes like these even make a difference to you? I guess it's all part of keeping the brand updated, but sometimes I wonder how much passengers even notice. Any thoughts?
Yeah, I saw the changes too. The new blue is a bit darker, right? I think it looks more sleek and modern. But I totally get what you're saying about the yellow crane. It was iconic! I feel like these tweaks are more for branding than anything else. Most passengers probably won't even notice unless they're aviation geeks like us. I do wonder how often airlines change liveries-seems like a lot of effort for something so subtle.
I noticed the changes, and I'm on the fence. The darker blue does give it a more premium feel, but I do miss the pop of the yellow crane. That was such a distinctive part of their identity. I think these tweaks matter more to aviation geeks like us than to the average passenger, though. Most people probably just care if the flight's on time and they get a window seat! Wonder if they'll bring back the yellow in some way down the line.
I think the darker blue is growing on me, but I totally get missing the yellow. It was like their signature pop of color. I read somewhere that branding experts say even small changes can have a big impact on how a brand is perceived. But honestly, I wonder how many people really notice these tweaks unless they're aviation geeks like us. Anyone else think other airlines might follow this trend of subtle changes?
Honestly, I'm not sold on the new look. The darker blue is okay, but the yellow crane was such an icon. It made Lufthansa stand out at any airport. I get that they want a modern image, but I feel like they're losing a bit of their identity. Plus, I wonder if most travelers even notice these tweaks. Do you think other airlines will follow with similar subtle changes? Seems like a trend lately.
