Air Congo's Brussels-Kinshasa Flights: New Competition for Brussels Airlines

Started by Michael340 3 weeks ago 2 replies 74 views
So I just read that Air Congo is starting flights between Brussels and Kinshasa from July 1st. They're basically taking on Brussels Airlines, who had this route all to themselves until now. The new flights will happen four times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. They're using a leased Boeing for this, but I'm not sure which model yet.

I'm kinda excited to see how this competition plays out. Brussels Airlines has been the only option for direct flights on this route for a while. I think having Air Congo in the mix might shake things up a bit. Could mean better prices or maybe even better services, who knows?

Wondering if Air Congo can keep up with the demand and provide consistent service. Also, how's this gonna affect Brussels Airlines? Will they drop their prices or add more perks to keep their customers?

What do you guys think about this new competition? Do you think it might lead to more airlines jumping into this market?
Yeah, competition's always good for us travelers. I think Air Congo's entry might push Brussels Airlines to up their game a bit. Maybe we'll see some price drops or extra perks from them. But I'm curious about Air Congo's reliability. If they can keep flights on time and offer decent service, that'll be a game changer. Anyone know if they're leasing a 737 or something bigger? That could impact how many passengers they can handle.
