So I've been collecting die-cast model planes for a few years now, mostly 1:400 scale. Got a mix of Gemini Jets and Phoenix Models up on my shelves. Recently snagged a rare British Airways Concorde model and now I'm itching to add more vintage stuff. I love the detail on these things!
I'm thinking about diving into other scales, maybe 1:200 or 1:500, but not sure if it's worth it. What do you folks think about mixing scales in a collection? Does it mess with the overall look? Also, any recommendations on must-have models? Looking for something with a bit of history.
Would love to hear how you all display your collections too. Running out of shelf space here! Anyone tried those fancy glass cabinets? Let me know!
